    I do not know why each individual country is dependant on the UK, but I assume it is because, for whatever reason, they decided there was no reason to declare independence from the UK. Perhaps it would be economically impossible depending on each area's situation. That, however, is simple speculation.

    yea also British Antarctic Territory which is 1,395,000 km².
    If you add up all British overseas territory then Britain is the 19th largest country in the world ! ! !
