    It depends on the shot glass. This is why drink recipes call for ounces and not shots. Most shot glasses are either 1 ounce or 2.

    A shot is either 25 ml or 35 ml.
    "The Imperial fluid ounce is...28.4130625 millilitres...
    The U.S. fluid ounce is...29.5735295625 milliliters."

    Imperial:
    25 ml = 25/28.4130625 ~= 0.88 fl oz
    35 ml = 35/28.4130625 ~= 1.23 fl oz

    US:

    35ml = 35/29.5735295625 ~= 1.18 fl oz
