You can take one the DAY you miss your period. You can take some as much as 4 days before you miss your period, but even though they say you can do that, they actually aren't terribly accurate at that point. Every day that you are pregnant, the hormone (HcG) in your urine increases a great deal, so every day that passes, the results become more accurate. Buy a box that has more than one test in it - test the day you miss, then wait a day or two, and retest. But above all else, before you do the test, PLEASE read the directions - some tests suggeest that you use first morning urine, for example, for best results. So read through so that you don't have any problems, and then you can rest assured that your results are accurate.
