  • I would probably answer "No, you aren't ugly. However you are narcisstic and annoying."
  • No, I do not hate it. I start my reply with, "Are you fishing for a liar's compliment, or are you seriously trying to hunt down the truth?" ... then based on their answer, I continue with mine ...
  • Yes. See: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/336088
  • Yes because most of the time the people are only asking these dumb ass questions because they want to hear you tell them how skinny they look or how beautiful they are. I believe that are really the most self involved people ever!!!
  • I don't actually hate it, because we all know that there are a lot of people that need this. Some people just always feel inferior. It's just, when they are not really a GOOD friend, it gets a little annoying, as Jax said. It does bother me though, when you have to CONSTANTLY re-affirm this to someone. Every now and then, okay. Every day, please stop!
  • No. I understand that they feel they need the reassurance. however, if they persist, we might have a serious talk about it and I might suggest that they make some alterations to their way of thinking and start giving themselves some positive strokes.
  • I CAN get annoying. Be blunt: say "Do you want the truth or a polite lie?"
  • Yes, it's particularly annoying when they already know the answer.
  • You should do and then they'll never ask you again. Problem solved.
  • so people does my avatar look ugly???
  • Yeah well I use to ask those questions but I think it would be best for them to not ask those questions because a lot of times people just ask those questions even though they know and everyone else already knows that they are pretty but they just want compliments. That is why I don't ask those questions anymore because what would that person do if someone said that they were ugly?
  • Ill say it if its true . BTW I think anyone that asks a Question on here is looking for attention, myself included !
  • Meh, doesn't bother me. Doesn't hurt to throw a compliment someones way, even if they are asking for it.
  • No, i've been known to do it myself, everyone needs some reassurance every once in a while... If they ask everyday that is irritating, very irritating... But I have also witnessed someone say (after they had been asked the same question every week for ages) something along the lines of "Yes, you do look fat, really fat, now f*ck off!" Which, in context was hilarious... but they are still friends.
  • Fishing for compliments? I'm certain, at the very least, the asker is pretty confident in themselves to ask that. I would never ask someone to rate me. I might be hurt. Someone would rate me a 5 out of 10 and I'd think I might as well be a 4, because average isn't pretty. It's just average.
  • Yes it's called low self esteem.
  • I ususally try to atleast tell them they arent fat or that they are skinny a few times but its pretty half-hearted...I've got better things to do then join a pity-party built for two. By the time I get sick of it I just agree with them, they usually shut up, a few of them take it personally though.
  • Yeah,I just did. So what???
  • Yes I do. when people ask questions like that I give them my honest opinion. If I think they are ugly I will say so.
  • yes i do hate people when they ask silly crappy question as they already have an answer in their mind and dey expect others to say it as it makes them feel good....such dumbs shud be hanged!!!
  • I normally answer "as compared to what?" that normally cools them down.
  • No, I absolutely love it when people ask this kind of questions. I just cannot get enough of them.
  • No, I don't hate people for this reason. They have the right to ask questions to source for answers, views, ideas, etc. In a similar way I have the right to answer or not. I am not compelled to answer all questions.
