    Will White pitched 680 innings for Cincinnati in 1879. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/rb_ip.shtml (Hey, I just did the math and that's the equivalent of 75 complete games :P) Also: "Since 1980 no pitcher has thrown more than three-hundred (300+) innings during a single season and the modern average for starters is approximately two-hundred four (204) innings pitched. There is only one pitcher from the twentieth century (Ed Walsh who barely made the list at number ninety-nine) and no pitchers from the twenty-first century in the top one-hundred (100) single season leaders.
