What can you feed a dog to make it lose it's ability to bark if only for a few hours?

    A tranquilizer, by rx, from a veterinarian.

    Our border collie goes spastic, when the thunder and lightning begins. we give him half a pill and it quites him down for his sanity and ours.

    Lasts about 4 hours.
