Help answer this question below.

A major supermarket chain is being taken over - I heard an interview where the buyers said "wouldn't it be great to look forward to food shopping with a new sense of fun and excitement each week?". Am I nuts as I cannot see that being possible?

It would be great to look forward to food shopping with a new sense of fun and excitement each week. If I had a supermarket that was so unique that I looked forward to what is now a chore I would be incredibly loyal to that store, and also tell all my firends about it.

It sounds like great business to me. Not easy to make grocery shopping new, fun, and exciting, but the fact that the new owners want to try and give that as thier image I think would be a good sign.

It's amazing what words money can buy. Public relations should be murdered.

The only excitement in grocery shopping would be free food.

    How would this happen?

An in-store lottery game called "Free Food Lotto".

Each state would have to sanction this game.

Upon entering the store, each shopper would buy an "FFL" ticket for $1.00. load your groceries during the one hour wait. the store is loaded with customers, hoping to win a free cart of food. drawings held each hour.

Three numbers are involved only of the customers choosing. each store has a small bingo machine, which will produce the winning number. no combination of numbers, just straight three numbers out of the machine. multiple winners will split the total prize for groceries of $150.00. one winner takes all in food. everyone prospers, the store, the state, the customer.

This is just an idea, but new ideas do have to have a starting place.

Remember folks, you heard it here on AB FIRST!!!
