  • It isn't good to shampoo your hair everyday especially if it's long because it doesn't allow time for the natural oils to penetrate the length of your hair causing it to be dry. I do shampoo every day because my hair is very thin and fine so when I wake up in the morning it looks oily.
  • Wash your hair every other day. (If you wash your hair everyday, it removes protective oils from your hair.) The days you don't shampoo, use conditioner. Conditioner doesn't wash hair, so it keeps the protective oils in and it softens your hair and prevents breakage.
  • You can wash every other day, also depends on the hair type.
  • hair oils naturally condition and product build-up clogs delicate new follicles
  • I condition and shampoo my hair every day, it keeps it from getting gross. It gets gross really quickly. +5
  • Yeah I've heard the same thing. I've heard it removes the natural oils and dries your hair out, leading to breakage and split ends and frizz etc. When I was a teenager and in my early 20s I had oily hair and skin and I needed to shower every day, but in the last few years I've started showering every 2 or 3 days, which is what I've heard you're supposed to do (I'm 28 now). My hair does look better, to be honest: less frizz.
