I ordered a replica gun(not real) from USA to IRELAND , Will it have any problems going through customs?

1) Probably. It could be particularly dangerous if you take it as a hand luggage, if you were asked to empty your bag alone. They could assume it were real and shoot you. 2) an acquaintance of mine had to take a parachute as a hand luggage, and you can guess that the security by check-in asked him some questions before they let him through...

I was able to take some airsoft replica guns with me on a plane. (Checked luggage of course) They are plastic of course, but I showed them to the security people at the port and they were satisfied that that they had no live ammunition in them (Not that airsoft guns use powder) and the case they were in was hard and it was locked. The rules for bringing guns on planes state that they must be in a locked case made for guns I believe. If you are ordering it by mail, then there shouldn't be a problem unless they actually Xray it. But I don't know of Ireland's laws on the subject. I hope your gun makes it to you! I myself am a gun collector.

The biggest thing to have is have your duty paid, make sure customs knows that you have a replica gun being shipped if it goes through xrays and they see it they are going to hold it. make sure you know the leagalities of shipping any thing that looks like a gun to and xray

It will not have any problems if all of your transport information is in order, and all the paper work out linning what it is and where it is going. Clearly point this out for the customs officers, remember the sheer volume of items comming into Ireland from the USA can make the best of them short tempered. Let them know in advance that this replica gun is comming through allot of places won't let replica guns go through on to a plane since the 9/11 attacts. That is my information I can add. Its tough to get guns rifles moved so I just go grey hound
