excellent job as usual by Micheal Moore. All americans should see it and think about it.

yes i saw it and i thought it was great. great in that it was very informative and quite surprising. i didn't know a lot of the things that was shown because luckily i have never had to have limbs sewn on or deal with cancer (personally). every AMERICAN NEEDS to watch this film. why don't we have a socialized health care system??? HELLO WE ARE ONE OF THE ONLY "DEVELOPED COUNTRIES" WITHOUT SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE. thats part of the reason why i moved to spain, free healthcare.

Perhaps you should look at what is really happens with socialized medicine. http://blog.nam.org/archives/2007/06/the_real_sicko.php (It should be remembered that, when Fidel Castro got sick a while back, the Cuban health care system was unable to help him. They had to bring in a doctor from Spain to save his life after the Cuban doctors botched things up.) http://www.fcpp.org/main/media_file_detail.php?StreamID=577 http://www.freemarketcure.com/

No doubt those with right wing views will immediately use the tired arguments about Canadians FLOODING to the US for treatment, or how the government that have universal healthcare are STEALING money from you to pay for it. Lets wipe the froth away from their rants one moment and take a serious look at the system. I live in the UK and we have had the NHS (National Health Service) since 1948, yes it isn't perfect but noone is denied treatment, no matter what the circumstance of ones bank account is. Yes we pay National Insurance, and so this is how it is paid for. The private insurance system implemented by the US, gives the power to private companies who can deny treatment by using small print, they charge 4 times as much for the cover than the NI contribution we do in the UK and yet they will try to find ways not to pay the claims, whenever they can. When you put the profit motive into health care, we get a system where millions are left out of the system and those in the system can be treated arbitrarily. Socialised medicine treats all with no distinction, and if I have the choice, I will always choose the jewel of the British welfare crown, free universal healthcare for all.
