  • Your question has asked if tangibility is a requirement for existence. In other words, do we have to be able to touch something for it to exist. In science, we beleive in the existance of subatomic particles and structure yet we can only observe them and their reactions or interactions. Gravity holds the solar system together and yet it is completely intangible. Magnetism and electricity and many other concepts exist completely without substance. So we can say that Tangibility is not a requirement for Existence. On the other hand, perhaps you are asking if language has no tangible properties. If we can share a language, interact with each other, share concepts and actually HEAR a language being spoken, doesn't that mean that a language has properties? You may not be able to touch them but you can experience them with one of your other senses. Here is another question for you. Can an idea exist without language?
