Usually the church asks for a minimum "donation." They would usually be the ones to tell you what that minimum is.

If you have not given any money for the Church for a while, give him a tithe, 10% of your month's income or more. We usually spend so much for restuarants, flowers, magazines, cable, cell phones, movies, and other entertainments, but we are so cheap when in comes to giving to the Church and its programs for the spread of God's Kingdom. The way you use your money reflects your priorities in life. Be generous to God, to His Church and ministers, and you will be surprised, He, who actually owns everything we possess, will reward you and your marriage in many other ways.

I am a Roman Catholic, married by the Church and so the rest of my family. We have never "paid the priest" as that would mean you would be paying for the sacrament of marriage, which is out of the question. The usual is to "pay the general fee" that covers the expenses to be incurred by the church for the ceremony. If you wish to take/send your own flowers you can say so and the fee will be duly reduced. If after the ceremony you wish to leave a donation for the church, you can do so in a closed envelope. There is no specific amount, it is voluntary, according to your possibilities and only if you deem it convenient. Regards.
