1986 ford f150 2wd with a 302.....losing spark smewhere...i have checked plugs, wires, replaced distributor cap and rotor button, still has a severe chug when driving down the street. any answers

If you believe that you have a spark loss you can probe down the ign sys using a test light or by spraying a mist of water along sys in dark area with eng running

First thing that I would do, is check your timing, it could be off. Sounds like it could be retarded a little, try turning the distributor alittle to advance your timing. You might have to back out the idle screw on your carb or throttle body alittle so it dont idle to high, give that a try if you already havent!

Have u checked ur coil to make sure that you have good connection? If not it might be a connection problem

it could be a bare wire in the distributor when the timing advanse it moves the wiring in side or the pick up coil is going bad
