  • I would assume that his death certificate will automatically change the AND to an OR. Of course there is his Will to consider as well. If he had a will a copy of that will be needed. If no will then you may need a paper to that states something to the effect that he had no claims or plans for the plots. Your best bet is to call the cemetery in question, explain the situation to them and ask what papers will be needed for this interstate business transaction. Proof of death (death certificates) usually end up supplying survivors with a lot of power. Of course a will will supersede a lot of decisions made by survivors.
