  • Some kids just can't sleep well early at night. What's his bedtime now? Best advice I can give is lock off the internet/computer so he can't get to it at night.
  • Examine the teens diet:Lots of sugar in what they are eating or lots of caffeine will keep someone up at night. One of my teens who was drinking lots of KiwiStrawberry drink(has lots of sugar). He was having trouble falling asleep till we refused to buy caffeine drinks and only gave him apple juice(The Martinellis in the little glass bottles)
  • hmm if you have authority over him you can unplug (and take) the cords to his computer, tv, stereo, etc... but then most likely it will piss him off and he will really keep you awake. you can maybe try to give him a taste of his own medicine? if hes up all night that means hes probably sleeping half the day... if you are home when hes sleeping you can be as loud as possible. vacuum the floors, clean the house with the radio on, things like that... and hopefully after awhile he will start going to bed earlier cus he will be tired haha. who knows though, teens are stubborn as heck!
  • Before YOU want him to go to bed, have him exercise for 10 minutes. Almost anything will do but something like lifting weights, situps, squats. bends, push ups, something that gets his blood going but clears his mind of everything that was running around insie. Then put him down. Tell him to lay there and write a book. He can start anywhere he wants and write anything he wants but write a book. Maybe an autobiography. Have him begin with what he remembers from his childhood. He does all the writing in his head. Will this work? Who knows. It works for me whenever I have trouble sleeping. I get out of bed and do about 10 minutes of strenuous exercise. Always puts meright to sleep. If this doesn't work, talk to the family doctor. Consider taking hikm to a therapist. Good luck .
