  • nothing. Karma is the Law of Karma and thats it. Cause and effect . Actions have consequences. Things arise upon dependence on conditions. Adding Westernized to the front of it does nothing to the fundamental truths of Karma
  • I agree that there is a difference. True karma is reincarnation as previously said. "Westernized" Karma is simply what goes around comes around. If one does good, good shall come to the. If one does bad, bad shall find them. As an American that has strongly believed in karma since I was old enough to realize good things happen to good people, bad to bad people, I feel this to be true. Simply as said before....what goes around comes around or what comes around goes around...something to ponder. But, having the highest level of respect for spiritual enlightenment...I often fight myself as to the effects of karma. Do things happen as coincidence and one places that action in the hands of karma. Is karma truly reincarnation? What I do believe is that one must practice mindfulness and remove desires for true enlightenment.
  • Westernized Karma accentuates the bad karma aspect and sometimes ignores that karma is not associated with good or bad but just living.Instant karma happens though it is almost impossible to say where the karma is coming from and what past event had brought it on.It is a gradual give and take thing and through lifetimes of living it is hard to figure out.
