  • Nope, camels don't store water in thier humps, they store fat, used for energy when there is no food about. They store water in thier stomach. Approximately one-and-a-half gallons of it.

  • Well, camels don't really hold water in their humps. The humps are sort of like huge deposits of fat which get consumed when they don't have a food source. You can't just poke a hole in it and drink some water. There is, by weight, more storage available in the two hump, over the one. In point of fact, camels do carry a lot of water in several small, specially formed pouch-like compartments in their stomach.
  • A one humped camel is called a Dromedary. (Sorry that's the extent of my knowledge).
