Since we can't find one in the store, does anyone have any ideas on how to make a "pin the tail on the donkey" game? The donkey part, we can draw, but other than tacks or push pins, what would work for "pinning" the tail on to what ever surface picked?

I would use tape on the tails. tacks and pins are too dangerous. Cellophane tape would work, but duct tape would be better, it's stickier.

If you have a "white board", you can use magnets for the tails since white boards are metal. Draw a donkey, stick it on the white board the make a bunch of donkey tails with magnets on them.

Cork board...use the same pushpins or tacks you have :)

If the kids prickling themselves is what worries you, why not use tape with adhesive on both sides.
