When I rub my eyes while wearing my contact lenses, my eye gets extremely red and blurry, and after blinking for about a minute, the contact will come out. What's happening and how do I prevent it?

    everyone's body chemistry is different. what works
    for one may not work for others. yeah, the lens most
    of the time hide behind the lids..take out the lens,
    wait for few mins to give some fresh oxygen for your
    eye and then try to put on. this is what i do for
    lens care. see if it works for you..again experiment
    with various suggestions and see what works best for you.
    visit your doctor atleast once after wearing lens for
    2 months to make sure your eyes are doing good.

    1) In the night, after you remove lens, take few drops
    of cleaning solution and slowly rub the both sides of
    lens. remember use clean hands before you do this. rub
    in gentle circular motion for 20 secs.
    2) after that rinse off with some more solution.
    3) store the lens in fresh solution over night.
    4) in the morning, before wearing do steps 1,2.

    try if you can not to rub your eyes whilst wearing your contact lenses, i know how hhard it is not to rub them whilst wearing yor lenses, try and not if you can press onto your eye ball when rubbing it wil cause your lenses to become uncomfortable and end up with really sore eyes like it sounds you have been getting try and use Conact lens wetters i use them a lot when my eyes are itchy it helps mine a lil. good luck i hope your eyes will settle down soon

    According to the consultant for www.coloredcontacts.com you cause wrinkles to form in the lens if you rub to hard. The solution is simple-don't rub so hard.
