  • Not very many opportunites for a 13 year old. The only job I can think of is your local newspaper or someone that is family related in a small business.
  • Well, I had a paper route when I was 11, so maybe you can do that. Otherwise, I think you have to look around for jobs that can be done in your community for cash, such as dog wakling and mowing lawns. here's a really interesting answer http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Where_can_a_13-year-old_find_a_job and here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/FamilyIssuesAndTheLaw/ChildrensRights/DG_4002945
  • I believe child labor laws in the US prevent true employment under the age of 14 (or maybe 16) unless it is a family business. An alternative could be baby sitting, pet sitting, or house sitting. You probably could not stay at a house alone at that age, but you could collect mail, newspapers, and water plants. Something I did at that age was cutting lawns and shoveling snow. I made some good cash doing that.
  • babysitting, dogwalking, cutting grass, weeding, gardening, fruit and vegetable picking (farm labor laws are different), lemonade stand, paper route, panhandling (make a sign that says you're homeless).
  • The first thing that came to mind was a paper route and dog walker. I had a paper route when I was 13, made pretty good money doing it.
