Just kill the darn thing. They only live a couple of days any way. lol
You have some good advice in this thread. If you cannot get it out of your room and you DO kill it, I want to give you a bit of advice.
If you are chasing it around with a can of flying bug Raid and it flies near your face, between your hand and your face, do NOT spray the Raid. Wait until the fly is NOT in front of your face.
That way you do not spray YOURSELF in the face with Raid.
No, really, I never, EVER, have done this.
Really.
I'll rent you my cat. He LOVES eating them. He thinks the feel of them buzzing in his mouth is wonderful.
Put a sign with the word Exit next to an open window and hope. C'mon, zap it with a bottle of bathroom or kitchen cleaner - if you don't it will keep you awake tonight.
First, turn off all your electrical appliances and all your lights. Then, open your door to a hallway that is well lit. The fly will be attracted to heat and light.
Just leave the window open he'll find his way out.:)
blow some smoke at it..if you dont smoke..you can light an inscence stick and direct smoke at him....he will leave alive and well...
Get on your mobile and say in earshot " Hello is that shit express , i'd like to order a lump of turd asap please , 5 minutes ? Cheers ! "
Walk outside your room and phone your neighbour and ask them to ring your doorbell in a couple of minutes.
When they ring ,run for the door and the fly will follow , they love shit.
As you open the door it will fly over your shoulder and you slam the door. Works every time , trust me.
put a sign up that says, shit happens
Hair spray
catch it
Chopsticks, Daniel-San! :)

A fruit fly landed on my apricot mango yogurt, and I didn't realize it was there until after I put a spoonful in mouth. Perhaps I'll die?
