+10 to flip-flops for ease of use, but -12 for having a thong that chafes the gap next to my thumb toe or that over-the-arch strap that chafes at every point on my arch, as well as its trademark sound. I need something that breathes but I can run in, so I always go Roman sandals when my dogs are barkin'.

hate them. they look fine, but the wretched sound they make, and were named after, when the wearer walks is terrible. what an awful sound to subject co-workers and other people to.
most people wear them because they "hate shoes". well, they're shoes, so if you wear them to spite wearing shoes, just go bare foot. PLEASE!
