Yes, other people's mistakes at work. (Fakes smile).

Yes I have. A stamp collection, I know nothing about stamps and am not interested but they were a bequest. I suppose the person thought because I collect coins and a lot of porcelain and bronzes I must be the person to leave the collection with.

Yeah. When my grandmother was dieing, she wanted me to have her Winnie The Pooh stamp collection. I don't care about stamps. It means something because she died, and she wanted me to have them- but I have no room for stamps, and especially when I don't really care that much about Pooh stamps. It was a sweet thought- don't get me wrong. I haven't missed that point... Call me ungrateful if you will. But it's just more stuff cluttering up my house.

Not yet, but my grandmother is leaving me her extensive stamp collection in her will, and she made me promise not to sell it.

Never. I have been given collections of things I have no interest in, but I am always pleased, in fact thrilled, to be given things. I donate them to charity and I get the pleasure of donating, plus the tax write-off on my IRS. It is easier if the giver is deceased, because there is no chance they will feel bad about it. If the giver is still living, I tell them how happy I will be to donate it for them on their behalf, in honor of a loved one, or just because. I have also found that many people at charity craft fairs love to buy up ready-made collections. I have developed quite a reputation as the go to lady for giving away things (including cats)as I can always find a good home for them.

When my grandmother died I inherited half of her elephant collection. Awkwardly enough as an employee of the Democratic party I wasn't that thrilled about a collection of the Republican Party's mascot, but oh well.
