Are you still in your 3 weeks of active pills? Or are you in the one week of placebo pills where you're supposed to get your period? If you're bleeding during the active pills, it may be your body adjusting to the new pills. However, if you're concerned, then take a test. If you're bleeding during the week you're supposed to, then I don't know why you're worried, since you're supposed to get your period that week. However, same advice - if you're concerned, take a test. In all cases - if you have questions, it's best to call your doctor and discuss it with them.

You definitely need to quit stressing out. The pill isn't 100% effective, but NO method of birth control is. If you use condoms in conjuction with the pill, your chances of becoming pregnant will decrease. So, if you're really worried about it, then use condoms with the pill EVERY time you have sex. Your chances of becoming pregnant on the pill are less than 1 in 100.

My period this month has been extremely light (almost non-existent). It only lasted a day. I've been on the pill for about five years and my periods usually last around 3-4 days. Why might my period be light this time?? Is there need for concern? I took a preg test and it was negative.
