  • It is driving on a suspended or revoked license. Driving without a license means you NEVER had a license in the first place.
  • They are no longer suspened so it will be drivin on expired license b/c your supossed to renew them every 5yrs(ohio) so hers are prolly expired but not suspened.
  • Oh, contraire, doobie. Driving without a license (at least in my state) means you simply do not have your license in your possession, but you are a licensed driver. The poster's friend is guilty of driving with a revoked license if she has never had her driver's license reinstated following its revocation. Whether it was revoked for a month or a year, it must be reapplied for.
  • This, of course, varies by state, but driving without a license is generally violated by being a licensed driver who does not have your license on you. Some states have separate statutes dealing with: 1) unlicensed drivers (i.e. never having a license), and 2) driving with a suspended or revoked license. Other states combine these into one statute. However, the penalty for driving while unlicensed and having a revoked license is the same in most states. Thus, you both may be right. But let me know what state you are in and I will tell you for sure.
