A good list of common [rite and rong] spellings can be found here... http://www.actwin.com/rwmack/spelling.htm

Using your instead of the contraction of you are which is you're. i.e., your not nice. That one drives me nuts!
-
That I can think of, Internet-related: Sight - SITE pwned - Owned One that's been bugging me recently is "definately" when it should be DEFINITELY. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/definately (Ok, so that one maybe doesn't count) : )

*Your/youre/you're- USE THE CORRECT ONE! (youre isn't even correct in ANY way) *There/Their/They're- SEE ABOVE *Sight/Site- Sight is something your eyes do: eye sight. SITE is something you are on. Answerbag is a web SITE. *Wut- 'What' is the correct spelling, not WUT. Quit spelling it that way! *Lose/Loose- Lose means to not win, or to lose a game. Loose means that it's not tight. Loose fitting clothing, or a loose goose. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE STOP SPELLING LOSE AS LOOSE! I *WILL* GO POSTAL! There's so many to choose from- so I'll add as I see more!

u -> you 4 -> for 2 -> to stop the insanity!

wear (as in wearing clothing) and where (as in the place something is) is one I just saw. There are some good sites to go to ( as opposed to sights which are what you see in a new town) which list commonly misspelled words: http://www.yourdictionary.com/library/misspelled.html http://www.sentex.net/~mmcadams/spelling.html www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/misspelled.html
