Let them go through the process to become citizens. I don't care if they came in the front door or the back door- they are here now, they obviously want to stay, so when they are found on a case-by-case basis just process the paperwork instead of sending them back. They should only be deported if there is some reason why they would not be accepted as citizens.

Grant them all reprives, and they'll be the ones dancing in the streets.

Make the penalty for getting caught more severe so that the reward for illegals to stay in the US isn't worth it. Confiscate their earnings, imprison them in uncomfortable but humane conditions for long periods in a common population, such as a huge, deep ditch where an overhead crane is required for extraction. Charge them with felonies, fine them for their support and force them to work it off - no paroles or dismissals - the ditch just gets more crowded. Advertise the punishment. Cease welfare to illegals. Stop requiring dual language programs - English only. Get tough and don't punish the border guards for doing their job.

Normally, when a major problem confronts America, America confronts the problem. Not so in this case. the problem of illegal immigrants has gotten out of control. there is no possible way to round up, house and feed 12 million illegal immigrants. the cost, if possible, would bankrupt America. the Mexican government knows this and endorses the flights of illegal immigrants into America. Is there a justifiable answer? i truly doubt it. illegals are multiplying as fast as possible, so their children will be born in America....legally. Have you ever wondered why the trains, coming from Mexico into the United States, are never searched? why are they not searched? There are many American industries in Mexico. John Deere, Kimberly-Clark and Westinghouse are just a few. was there an agreement made to allow cheap labor, in Mexico, for the big industries in return for the illeglas to cross the border and stay in America?? there has to be a reason the federal government is not enforcing the Federal Immigration Laws. If America had used the money to fund the war in Iraq to protect the American/Mexican border, then we would not have this problem today. and, don't forget terrorists also crossing the border from Mexico. i do not feel our country is safe. There is no answer, its too far out of control. Today....the United States of America. Tomorrow....the United States of Mexico. Think about it.

I don't know, does anyone know how to deport people of European ancenstry ? , and ship them back on the boats they came on. There's a long list of people that came here when they had no invitation.

It will do no good to deport illegal aliens until The United States can secure its borders. I find it hard to believe that America has the strongest military the world has ever seen, and it can't secure its own borders. I have to ask does The Federal Government really want to secure its borders? +5

12 million is now up to 20 million and they just keep on a coming. What would you do with 20 million people that no state wants? It would bankrupt one state just feed, house and provide medical care for them. This is one of the real problems being faced with a new national healtcare program. The illegals will eventually take over America and not a shot fired.

There is no way to do as you suggest my friend. Many of the most militant are also among those who profit by the work done by these folks. Yes. Take away the incentive to hire illegal immigrants, and take away the incentives to illegally come to America. Here is how you do this: 1) deny all services to illegal immigrants, and 2) impose heavy fines on companies that hire illegal immigrants.
