Popeye the sailor man.

Take me as i am warts and all:) (no i don't have any:)
You are what you are.
I am what I am if you don't like it so be it!
Take me as you find me , if you don't like it , p*** off basically 'cos I ain't gonna change for you.
What came to me was , I'm not going to change for anybody - which is what my ex said all the time -( Selfish and everything is about them )
+5
I think of it as a cop-out for people who are not willing to better themselves.
Popeye is in the house?
It means next to nothing to me. Yay!
It means "I am who I am, like it or not... your choice".
its the same effect to me as the phrase 'it is what it is' or 'stuff happens' usually its uttered after somebody did something wrong and they want to make it sound like its not a big deal
To me it means..this is me..like it or not :)

I'm old school, I grew up watching Bugs Bunny and Popeye. I can imitate his laugh pretty good.
