  • I believe the record stands at 12, held jointly by Jim Bottomley way back on 16th Sept 1924, and more recently by Mark Whiten on 7th Sept 1993, both while playing for St Louis Cardinals. Mark Withen tied this record when he went 4-for-5, hitting 4 HR, including a grand slam at Cincinnati Reds the 09/07/1993. Both Bottomley and Whiten were playing in St. Louis Cardinals.
