Iced drinks make your body work harder, because it has to restore the body temperature back to normal range, in addition to digesting whatever you have consumed. Therefore it is best to consume green tea at close to body temperature, if you want to have the optimum health benefit. Iced green tea is a refreshing drink on it's own, but shouldn't be combined with food.

after having food it is not advisable to drink iced drink. there is a theory which I think a logic behind its. This is because when taking icy drink with food it will solidify the oil staff in the blood vessel. It is best to take warm water after food or the warm tea.
