Living here is the best way, as it is with any language. I was 6 when I learnt English through full immersion and I was fluent within 3 months. I've been in Italy now for 6 weeks living with an Italian family but speaking English all day to eachother, I didnt pick up much. We've now been with extended family for 1 week, and in that short time I'm amazed how much I have picked up, simply by being in it all day long and wanting to know what is being said.
