Are there any dangers or risks associated with smoking cigarettes while taking Depo Provera?

i used to have the depo vera injection and i smoked and nothing happened to me. i have just looked it up and it doesnt say anything apart from patients are discouraged from smoking while taking depo vera. maybe its worth asking your nurse when you go for the injection. my nurse never mentioned it to me though.
