20 % of agents do 80 % of the business, the problem is that most people are a little jaded about agents, with good reason they don't receive anywhere enough training in the processes of what actually happens and how the process works. Realtors list properties on MLS to sell and take prospective buyers out to view properties, help to write a contract, often counter at clients request fax back and once price and terms are agreed on, drop off the contract at the title company. They then schedule an inspection, and coordinate repairs, or have others do that for them ( this happens in almost every area described before ) A big number ( not all ) of them throw tantrums, act like they are in High School again scream, yell, throw fits and rush else in the process that actually do the real work appraiser's, inspector's, underwriters, lenders, surveyors, loan officers, processors, funders and many others the title companies that are trying to ensure the property is clear without liens etc, most could not read closing documents and understand them, or have the slightest clue as what the title work means to save their lives and could care less about their client they make a ridiculous amount of money and majority are entirely clueless. The thing is they usually bring the clients from open houses, or referrals therefore everyone tolerates the bad behavior by the majority of them. When you find a good one you really do see a huge difference. Most have more problems not with their clients but with other Realtors they are spoiled by loan officers, title companies, insurance agents, appraisers, home warranty companies, builders etc you name it after awhile they begin to act ridiculous, I have always felt a stripper was a step up from most agents, they actually work and probably have more class.
