The royal family chose this poor girl to produce heirs to the throne and they used and abused her,the two timing pig she married was carring on with that horse faced old boot he eventually married, when her cries of help though her slimming dis-orders went unheard by them they threw her to one side.I am only sad that he never found true happiness with someone who truly deserved her,she was a ray of light in this drab little country and we are the sadder for loosing her.

I don't know much about her history (forgive me) but I believe she was absolutely gorgeous. I've never heard anything bad about her, so I suppose she was a great woman.

A lovely young women used and abused by a disgusting philanderer who treated her like a breeding sow.

Her consequent breakdown and fightback was sad and not always wise .Her death a dreadful and accidental tradegy.
A very sad story, Orchestrated by the couple that hopefully will never get the chance to sit side by side as representatives of the Royal Family.

Total embarressment to have a whore as the wife of a weak kneed disgusting ninny who is the heir to the throne.

I thought Princess Diana was a beautiful complex woman who died much too young. I think she got a raw deal when she married Charles thinking he loved her only to find out he was in love with Camilla. Then, I think she was stuck and dealt with it the only way she knew how.

It's struck me how tragically ironic her whole story turned out to be.

I remember the summer of 1981, when she and Prince Charles were married.  The whole thing was played up as a wonderful, real-life fairy tale.  A beautiful young woman marrying a handsome prince, and preparing to live happily ever after.

Every young boy wanted to be Prince Charles, and every young girl wanted to be Lady/Princess Diana.

Of course, “Happily ever after” isn't what happened at all.  It wasn't very many years before stories started coming out, first in the sleazy gossip-related media, but soon in normal mainstream media as well, about how unhappy both were in the marriage, about how both had been repeatedly spotted carrying on in extramarital affairs with others, and just generally how nasty the whole thing was coming out.

By and by, they divorced, and went off to pursue other relationships.  Charles went on to marry a woman who had been cheating on her husband to be with him.  Diana, at a point where she was reportedly in a promising romance that finally appeared to give her a shot at her “happily ever after” was suddenly killed in a particularly stupid car accident.

If there's any real point to her whole story, then it surely must be an unhappy and useless point.  Certainly, the outcome isn't what anyone would have guessed at back in 1981.

She did a lot for charities, and used her image very cleverly to bring attention to what she was campaigning for. She also more importantly bridged the gap between Royalty and the common public, although I feel it is slowly developing again now.

All that said, it was tragic when she died but I wouldn't have said I was any more sad than when other famous people die. It was a sight (and smell) seeing all the flowers in Kensington Gardens though.

I think she was just a breeding machine for the Royal family, They new she liked children and they new she was pure a virgin, and they knew she was attractive and they new she was smart and they knew she was poor and single and she was loving and careing and would make a great mother. I feel sad when I think of all of the presure and abuses that she resived in return she gave so much love to her children and the people and she was a humanatiran and who doesnt want to be a princess She thought it would have been an easer life to be in the royal family but all of that money in the world isnt worth what she went throught and what did she get in return death at a young age and two sons without there mother.
