For me going blind would be worse as I am a visual learner. I have actually had nightmares about going blind...

going both at the same time!

~~I think I might enjoy some aspects of bieng deaf... no more phone ringing or dog barking or door knocking or hearing people yell..... no more rap music no more of so many cacauphonous sounds.... ahh the relief!!!!
However I might miss it eventually.... some sounds anyway. Maybe..... and I know some sign language...

~~Bieng blind might be a bit worse, no doubt I could get around... I get around in the dark fine by feel. However, not seeing who I am talking to would bug me.
I would never have to see sunlight again.... YAY!!
I also wouldn't be able to see the moon.... :(
I wouldn't be able to do answerbag either... which would make me sad.

Blind would be worse for me....

I think either way you would learn to lead a happy and fulfillig life once you had become able to accept the situation, but I would have though the transition would be more difficult for the newly blind.

Definitely deaf. I've got a person in the next cubicle over that LOVES to listen to her voicemail on speakerphone...then she calls the person back and lets it ring, and when the person answers, THEN she picks up the phone.

On more than one occasion I've had to be physically restrained from jamming a pen into my ear canal.

Being deaf would bring sweet, sweet relief...and I could sing at the top of my lungs at work without bothering myself!

"HERE I AM BABY! SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED I'M YOURS!!"

Definitely mute. The others...you're just so helpless. At least if you're mute there are ways around it (writing, wearing an emergensy whistle).

Well, none of the above, but if I had to choose any of those, I'd pick deaf, sometimes it can be helped with hearing aids. Or mute. You can write things down.....AHH any of those would suck..

I would be blind. I don't much care what a person looks like. I would die not being able to hear music. And I cannot be mute I like debate to much.

Mute...there are things in this world that are beautiful, I would miss sight, There is still some things nice to hear in the world I would miss hearing. There are lots of things I say that I shouldnt, that might be hurtful to someone, or negative, or just plain annoying, I could go without speach. :)

Vision is slightly overrated. It would be harder to adjust to the loss of sight.....but I could never give up music & a good conversation.

Going blind. I'd rather go deaf - people say a lot of dumb things that I don't really need to hear anyway. Also, I love to read, watch sunsets, and just take in the world's beauty in general. I would be quite sad without my eyesight.

For me, it would be going blind. I think I would die if I couldn't see my wife, kids, my dog, trees, grass, oceans, mountains, the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Longhorns, etc. ... I would miss my familys' voices, but not seeing them would hurt more!
