Disney world, the house of mouse.
-
All the Disney parks. If I could only go to one studio park, I would pick Universal over MGM.
-
Disney has the most options and not everything there costs $$$. If you are looking for thrill rides, then Universal and Sea World are slightly better but much more limited in other offerings.
-
Universal Studios.

It depends on what you are after. A quick summary of the major ones: Sea World - kinda obvious, but lots of aquatic related amusements, Shamu the killer whale show is a major attraction, as is the ?Atlantis roller coaster ride, but it's much smaller than the others and has limited appeal for younger kids. If you plan on doing a lot of parks, start with this one to ease yourself in and get used to what the weather will typically be like during the day. Disney World - a catch all term for all the Disney parks, water parks, Discovery Island, Downtown Disney, and the hotel resorts. People generally get a 5/7 day ticket, because there is no way you can realistically cover everything in anything less. All Disney parks are covered by the ticket and it covers you for each day, not each park. This means, if you want to spend a morning at EPCOT and the afternoon at a water park, then to Magic Kingdom on the night to watch the Spectromagic parade, for example, it will only use a single ticket, an excellent way to save money. The Magic Kingdom is perhaps the one that most often springs to mind, and is often erroneously called Disneyworld itself. Lots of tamer rides for kids, there is a parade every day that you can watch (it changes in theme a lot), a couple of more exciting rides if you want, but nothing really white knuckle. If you do go, you *have* to get cookies and ice cream from one of the bakeries on Main Street USA (the park is split into several different lands). An absolute must IMHO is the nighttime Spectromagic Parade, a phenomenal visual treat. Do a Google Image search to see what it looks like. BTW At the Disney parks, and sometimes at Universal, there will also be lots of musical shows performed throughout the day around the park. EPCOT centre might be a bit boring for younger kids, but I always liked it. It's split into two halves. The Future World part has lots of rides that take you through various parts of our history, such as progress in communication from Egyptians writing on papyrus, to future possibilities of interplanetary communications. There's a few rides about the wonders of the human body, ecosystems and the like, plus a couple of more intensive rides, one that simulates being in a space mission and another that simulates test track driving. The second half is the World Showcase, with 11? pavillions that represent various cultures of the world, with shops, restaurants, bars and such serving that cultures food/products. EPCOT is quite popular with adults who find the different cultures and rides informative, interesting and relaxing. EPCOT also has a huuuuuuugggge fireworks/light display every night, at 10pm I think. MGM is Disney's movie based theme park. Teens and young adults will probably enjoy this one the most, as it has lots of rides based on TV/movies, and many are much more exciting than those in other parks. Top picks are the Aerosmith rollercoaster (0-60 in 2.5 secs, with an Aerosmith rock soundtrack from the speakers!), Tower of Terror (13 storey drop in a lift), Star Tours (a Star Wars simulator, complete with lifesize Star Wars AT-AT outside) and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, recreating famous scenes from the three movies. More sedate rides such as the Great Movie ride (taking you through scenes from various movies) also exist, and there is the backlot tour and Catastrophe Canyon, which is awesome IMO. There are lots of things for kids as well. It also has a nighttime show, called Fantasmic, a lights projected onto water show that looks spectacular. Animal Kingdom is Dsiney's fourth main park, and is basically like a big safari. Only been once, and it had only just opened, and most rides weren't finsihred yet, so I can't comment. The water parks are easily big enough to spend the majority of a day at to relax from all the walking (and you might do a lot!). Blizzard Beach is focussed more on water slides, whereas Typhoon Lagoon has some, though not as many, but also has a gigantic wave pool and a lazy creek that you can sit in a rubber ring and let the current take you at a leisurely pace around the park. You can also snorkel with sharks if you so want to. Discovery Island - never been. Downtown Disney is a large shopping and bar area, with some clubs and DisneyQuest, with lots of computer/virtual reality based amusements. Have a look, but not essential. Universal Studios has two parks in Orlando, Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure. Universal studios is very much akin to MGM studios, except with different movies featured, including an ET bike ride into the sky, Jaws (you're on a boat that the shark attacks), Earthquake (in a tube train that simulates being in an earthquake) and Terminator (an awesome 3D movie made with Arnie and Edward Furlong, attempting to blow up Skynet. It's the most expensive per minute movie production ever and the 3D effects are spectacular). Islands of Adventure focusses on more traditional rides, such as roller coasters, waltzers etc, all themed on films. Some rides are very good (the Spiderman one for instance, and Poseidon's Fury), but I find that it doesn't have the movie magic appeal of Universals main park or Disney's MGM. There are also lots of other parks, such as Busch Gardens (kind of like a big zoo with roller coaster rides), Gatorland (name says it all), and other attractions such as Kennedy Space Centre not too far away (though if you plan on going here, you may want to check if there are any scheduled launches, as this may affect what attractions are open. You will be able to see the launch with your own eyes from Orlando, I've done it. Basically, it all depends on who you are going with, what they like, and how long/much you are spending there. I would say that the 5/7 day Disney hopper tickets represent the best value for money overall, however obviously it's a large amount of money to pay up front if you are only there for a few days, or want to see some other sights. At the end of the day, I don't think you will be disappointed wherever you do go, but for many people (myself included), Disney is the epitome of Orlando, and I would feel strange going there and not going to Disney. It's like Paris without the Eiffel Tower. Any more queries/questions, just leave a comment. I've been a few times so I've had my fair share of experiences there.

-
I always have a ton of fun at Epcot...
-
Walt Disney World - it is fun and clean. What i did not like about Universal was that it was dirty and they let people smoke.
-
There's nothing like Disney World.
-
When we went a couple years ago, we went to all the parks and everyone really liked them all for their different attractions. I think the older kids were most disappointed with Walt Disney World because there weren't the big thrill rides like they go on at places like Cedar Pointe and Six Flags.
-
In Orlando I like Disney, outside of Orlando I like Bush Gardens.
-
Universal. Hands Down. Most immersive, less crowds, and overall best experience.
-
Personally I'd go Universal. Its cheaper, has everything in a more compact space so you're not walking as much, and has something for the entire family at both parks. Notas much as Disney....but you'll get both parks done in one day...you MAY get one park done at disney because of the crowds.
-
Hands down: Epcot
-

Disney and all of it's other parks has a little something for everyone, mom, dad, and kids. Just buy a multipass and you can visit many different places on the same ticket in the same day.

Disney World would be top on anyone's list as well as mine.
-
