Hours that are his are his hours, so I would suggest he can make them up. It is an irritating situation though, as he should have spent fathers day with his kids, for their and his own sakes. It makes you question his commitment.

No, I don't think he should be able to make it up. Why should he? He decided to do something else during his weekend with his sweetie baby girl. Prioritize! Thank goodness for mommies! How is it going now anyways?

oops, than with his sweetie baby girl.

A day, is a day, is a day! Stop trying to take your anger out him, and just deal with it. He has moved, time for you to do same, and stop trying to attack him with petty crap. In the best interest of the child you share, you need to find some resolution (counseling) so that you can deal with your x in a mature, adult manner, and not like a passive aggressive teenager.

There are times when a baseball bat can come in handy in my work with fathers. You don't say why he's going out of town? Is it a part of his job? In this economy, with 80% of layoffs being men, turning something of that sort down is not a good idea.

By law if he is able to make up hours, those are just regular hours he has the right to make up. Just because he is abandoning his child on father's day, doesn't mean those are "special" un-make-up-able hours.
