  • Naphtha is a good cleaner for this. You can find it at your local hardware store. Lacquer thinner could also be used safely. Remember, don't scrub it. Wipe it gently and repeatedly until it comes off.
  • I would ask a professional that can see the extent of the damage from the road paint. I would not risk any suggestion on the AB for this one. Better to be safe than sorry. I'm sure there are alot of experienced people on here who can help, But how do you know who is telling the truth or just screwing with you.
  • A couple of cleaners that I've found often work on this sort of thing and are paint safe are Goof Off and Goo Gone. http://www.valsparglobal.com/val/resident/goof-off.jsp http://www.magicamerican.com/products_gg.aspx Goo Gone is somewhat gentler than Goof Off. Either is available at hardware stores. If that doesn't work, you can almost certainly buff off the paint using a gentle scratch remover/finishing compound. Here's one such product: http://www.meguiars.com/?auto-paint-cleaners/ScratchX Good luck.
