Help answer this question below.
I wish someone could come up with the song and put it on here!!! I remember that song from the early 1970's as a child and used to play it over and over both fast and slow (slow was awesome). In any event, would love to hear it again for old times sake!

It's "The Chocolate Train" and it was recorded by the Peter Pan Orchestra, and it sounds really awesome on the slow setting.
The Chocolate Train rides on the candy track,
The lollipop wheels go clickety clickety clack...
Dingdong bell goes the gumdrop bell
On the Chocolate Train
(Whoo Whoo)
There's cotton candy coming from the stack,
The brake car carries crunchy Cracker Jack,
The peppermint whistle goes "TOOT TOOT!"
On the Chocolate Train!
The little train is on its way
To climb up Ice Cream Mountain.
It takes on water for its trip
from a great big soda fountaiiiiiin.
The Chocolate Train rides on the candy track,
The lollipop wheels go clickety clickety clack.
Take a trip to Candy Land
On the Chocolate Train!
(spoken)
All Aboard! Chocolate Train leaving on candy track!
Allll Aboooooooarrrrd!!
(ding ding)
(chorus)

What's an allot?
Vaughn Monroe.
My cousin had this album and we were just talking about it but we could not remember the name of the album. I only remembered "The Choclate Train Song". OMG I love that people know & have the lyrics. I took the chance to googled it. THANK YOU! This made my day&night.
It is from Peter Pan Records - Sunshine Series - B side: title "Chocolate Train" ((A-side - On the good ship Lollipop.)) I own the 45 rpm. If I had a record player, I would play it so that I could provide you with the lyrics. I loved the song as a child, and if memory serves me correctly, I believe the song goes like this:
The chocolate train rides on the candy track, the lollopop wheels go clicky, clicky, clack. Ding, dong, bell goes the gum drop bell, on the chocolate train. The little train is on its way to climb up ice cream mountian, it takes on water for its trip from a great big soda fountian.
All aboard, chocolate train leaving on candy track, all aboard!
I don't know who wrote it.
The chocolate train goes down the candy track the lollipop wheels go clickety clickety clack.... I know this song from childhood. I would also like to know who sang and wrote it.
I also have been trying to find out. I know the song and lyrics from when I was a child. My parents lost album by have album cover(front only)but it does'nt show artist.I have been on a mad search for about a year now. I sing it to my kids but they want to hear the real thing(I dont blame them)
Are you looking for the one that starts out 'Look at the dandy train made of candy, sitting on peppermint hill....."? My father always sang that to us.
I don't know who wrote it, but it was recorded by Vaughn Monroe. The correct title is "Chocolate Choo Choo". You can still find his albums on eBay.
The chocolate train goes down the candy track the lollipop wheels go clickety clickety clack. Its the Chocolate choo choo everyone its the chocolate choo choo so come along... Is that how it ends? I have been looking for the same question about this song. I had the tape when I was young and I would do anything to have it again. Please please please if you know where to find it I would love it. I have been looking for the past 2 years (on and off) and I have not found anything. Your question is the closest I have come yet.
Please let me know.
Seth

I actually own the 45, but I have no idea how one would convert the 45 format into something that could be uploaded.

Wow... that is awesome, someone else that actually played that song over and over, fast then slow.. I prefered it on 33rpm... Maybe that is why I love metal these days... LOL. I have an MP3 of a different what seems to be a different version, if you like email me at lobmo@yahoo.com and I'll hook you up. :)
