It's due to the fact that people are looking for literary talent as opposed to populist appeal.
Most people like to read books because the authors have a keen ability to meld words into an exciting and interesting combination that allows the genre of the novel to be a joyful escape from the blasé cliché format of mainstream media.

You're reading Why do people look down on graphic novels? you take a novel, and thats adult....you take art, and thats adult......but you put the 2 together, adn all of a sudden its thrown to the side and called a childs thing. honestly

i do agree, i sometimes like to read and just paint an image in my mind with the pallette the author lays out for me through his writing, its just the fact that serious graphic novels with actual messages are tossed aside just because they have picutres, ugh

lol, thats cool man, everyone likes sometin different, i tried reading the biography of general Patton, LOOOOOOONG READ. just didnt have the stamina to finish it, just to much ADD, so i watched the movie, its fave of me and my pop
