I'm running a 1000 W subwoofer from a Volfenhag 2000W 2 channel amp. Do I have to bridge the sub or can I just run it off one channel?

you have to run it off one channel if you dont it will either bottom out in the basket or blow imediatly

if this is a 4ohm sub,bridge it.your amp is a class a/b amp, in bridge it will push 600watts rms@4ohms.it is not near enough to blow your sub(if the subs in a box). i am positive
