Katy's first day. My mom gave it to me for my first day of school. I still have it. I'm going to name my daughter Katy spelled Katie. I have had that name picked out since I was 5 years old.

Sonora Beautiful. It was given to me by a friend when I was young. A book about respecting yourself and finding beauty within. Heavy for a 2nd grader, but it stuck with me. I still have it in my desk. I plan on giving it to my daughter when she's old enough.

I don't remember the name of it because I started reading really early but the first book that I remember the title of was "The Donkey who Wanted to be Wise". I remember wondering and asking my mom to explain to me what wise meant. It was a new word for me. And it was difficult for hr because we hadn't been in the USA for very long and words were new to her, too.

Every other page of "The Hobbit." after that... I can't remember if I started right away on Fellowship, or if I went through my dictionary/encyclopaedia phase...

Wait!! It was a book of Hans Christian Anderson stories. A big, musty old book with no pictures ^_^.

I didn't read "childrens' books" until my little brother was learning how to read.
