Be willing to start part time at low pay. If that doesn't work, get a volunteer job. Be the best at whatever you do. Work the hardest. Show up early and leave late. Ask a lot of questions. Prepare yourself off the job for promotions. Meet as many people as possible. Ask for referrals. Don't give up.

I dont know how you would do that except maybe apply for a California state job in your area. I do know that living down here in Los Angeles County that most of my working life I continue to meet people from other states and other countries. They always say they came to Los Angeles County because there are so many jobs here.I'm usually the only person who was born in California and sometimes the only person born in the USA.I should warn you.The Jobs down here can be very stressful but its the lesser of 2 evils. The other evil being to watch your family get hungry and lack for important material needs. When I got out of the Military I just went around to different city governments and filled out interest cards then when they have openings they let me know when to submit an application. Hope that helps.
