    Always keep your hands in plain sight . Don't reach under seats or in the glove compartment or around in different parts of the vehicle. Always be polite and courteous and make eye contact with the officer. If you are licensed to carry a handgun, ALWAYS inform the officer IMMEDIATELY that you are licensed and that you are armed.Have your drivers license , insurance and registration in an easliy accessable place and ready for the officer, but, don't reach around for it until he asks for it.Don't take a traffic stop personally. They are just doing their job. Do your best to make THEM feel safe !! These guys/gals just want to do their job and go home & see their families at the end of the day.

    Never jump out of your auto and run toward the police officer. this is a direct threat.

    Stay in your automobile and let the officer approach you, while you are seated.

    If pulled over

    Do not take your seat belt off. Do not reach for anything unless he has just asked for your insurance and such. Do no open your door. They are trained to think the worst and the number one is not to open that door. They have had people open the door and get out and either shoot or fight them. No its not likely you are going to do that but they are trained not to take that risk.
