Help answer this question below.
You can't catch Aids, you catch HIV which leads to Aids. The answer to your question is yes, condoms aren't 100% protective, they do offer some protection but the sex is still pretty high risk. Even if the female wasn't on her period you could still contract HIV.
Yes, it is harder for a man to contract hiv/aids during heterosexual sex because, well, there is nothing into him, but that does not mean it cannot happen. Anal sex increased the risk for both parties involved because a, the person is more likely to bleed from that area and b, the anal tissue is much small than the vaginal lining, if you took the cells from the lining of a vagina and laid them on the ground they would be the size of about a football field and if you did the same with the anal lining it would only be about the size of a door. bottom line is to always use protection and know your status, a huge percentage of the people who contract the virus get it because their partner doesn't know their status and they pass it on.
Condoms always Protect against HIV but the Presence of blood increases your risk substantilally just get tested and sleep better.
Having her period has nothing to do with transmission of venereal diseases. You could get ANY disease that she has by having sex with her AT ANY TIME, with or without a condom. A condom doesn't block the virus, it only slows it down.
BTW you can't "catch" AIDS. You CAN catch HIV, which usually, but not always, develops into AIDS. Thousands of people have survived HIV infection. That means they are still infected, but haven't developed he AIDS syndrome.
NO ONE has EVER lived more than 24 months with AIDS.
.
How do you know that she has HIV?
Pay up your burial insurance.
the answer to this question is only if the person you are sleeping with is infected with the virous...then you could catch aids..not if the person dont have it.You cant catch aid cause the woman starts her period in the middle of sex..:)that is not what i heard..if this is not true please leave me a comment with the facts..thanks..by the way please use a condom:)

You had me up until the saliva part... HIV is found in very low concentrations in saliva, tears and urine and there has never been a case of HIV being transmitted from kissing an infected person.

Anonymous, yes there have been cases of HIV transmission by kissing. It's extremely rare, but it has happened.
There was even one case of a dentist who infected his patient with HIV, even though he was wearing latex gloves, and the resulting AIDS killed her within six months. She sued, got a whopping settlement, but didn't live long enough to spend it on anything except vain attempts to postpone her death.

The above website reports ONE documented case of HIV transmission from kissing. A woman apparently contracted HIV from a man. Both had severe gum disease and it's believed that the virus was transmitted from his bleeding gums and not saliva.
