Very much so. We used to have many geese. We got the first ones from a hatchery as hatchlings. There were 8 of them. We raised them together. They would go on walks with us. They we be much nicer than geese not hand raised. When they pair up and form couples be aware that at breeding time they may be a bit more standoffish to you and be very mean to strangers but they will still remember you. This may not happen but it does occasionally. Sometimes you might be accepted as a wife of the gander. Then you will be treated very nicely. I was once number one wife apparently to our Chinese gander. His wife was not tame and very vicious but after he adopted me, she went along with it and accepted me as a family member. They bond very well to people who feed them and talk to them. Use your hand and arm to learn their language and speak 'goose' to them. My husband is so good at doing this it even works on vicious wild geese coming at him.
