  • Other than your foot, it is considered one of the most painful places because it is mostly bone.
  • It's one of the worst places, but tattoos in general don't hurt that bad. I have one on my wrist which was supposed to be a really bad place, and it was a peice of cake.
  • yeah i was watching this girl on miami ink getting one once and he has like a million tattoos and her tougue split and percings all over and she was crying when they tattooed her there so it must be bad.
  • If they're tatooing your ribs they've gone too deep!!!
  • I have a tattoo my ribs and im only 17 it doesnt even really hurt that bad at all and let me tell you im about 5'1'' and super skinny. Believe me you'd much rather get your ribs than your foot anyday..its a peice of cake.
  • Yea i honestly didnt think it hurt that bad at all. The worst part about it is i felt like i didnt want to breath or i would mess the tattoo up lol. Supposedly the worst places are the front of your neck and your palms. But all in all it depends on what your pain tolerance is. My gf got a tattoo with me on her ribs aswell and said it was horrible, but wants to get something on the other side now lol so its worth it even if it might be almost unbareable to you.
  • I just got a Gypsy on my ribs the other week with a lot of detail it sucks but is tolrable! Some points pushed th e limit tho but if you can take pain ddecent you should be ok!
  • I was told by my tattoo artist that the ribb cage is the worst part of the body to get tattooed!!!
  • my next tattoo is going to be on my ribs and my artist said that it hurts but it will be my 5th one. i have upper back, lower back, hip and most recent foot. supposdly the foot is also one of the worst and it was nothing. i am nervous about the ribs but all you gotta do is just breathe and dont be a baby. think of it this way if you just lay there and get through it he doesnt have to keep going back. when you take breaks it hurts even more because you have given yourself a chance to get used to the pain right then and then they go back and keep doing it. think about how painful that is. the faster they get it done the less amount of pain your going to have in my opinion so you just gotta lay there and take it.
  • I don't know from experience on ribs but usually if you are getting tattooed on a part of your body that is a little bonier, it tends to hurt a lot more.
  • Tattoos hurt the most in the softest places and the hardest places. What I mean by that is anywhere that you have mostly fat with little muscle is going to really hurt and anywhere right above a bone is going to really hurt. The ones on the bone make the bones vibrate with the machine and its a really weird and painful feeling. My abs was so far the most painful one I've gotten.
  • dont know, dont have them their, but have heard hurts like hell anyware near the stomach
  • I've had my foot and my ribs done, both apparently very sensitive areas. The one on my foot was painful but it was bearable. The one on my ribs barely hurt at all!
  • very sore,trust me.
  • I just got mine done today.. it was the most painful thing ive ever experienced in my life.. it was my first tattoo and it was a heal of an experience. The outline wasnt to bad although the fillling in part hurt like hell, i strongly recomend taking brakes between lettrs< i made the mistake of not eating anything so deff. eat food before you go. My tattoo artist suggested that we stop after the outline and in a week or so come back to get it filled.. if you think you can handle it than thats ur choice however if you dont think you can than wait. I cant stress how much this hurt bring a buddy along so you can grab there hand it helps. I have ne regrets getting this tattoo cause it looks sick and once i get my full six pack its gunna look sick!
