I am a UK resident. How can I extend my visa to stay in Canada for as long as i like if I want to remain with my partner, a Canadian citizen?

    You cannot stay here "as long as you like". If you want to become a permanent resident, you must apply from the UK. You can apply for an extension of your visa, but there is no guarantee that they will keep renewing it. And it does not permit you to work here legally.

    You have to apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada to extend your temporary resident status. This must be done at least 30 days before your current status expires.
