You are more likely to catch someone's cold if they cough or sneeze on you, if you drink after them, or kiss them while they are ill, or even if they breathe on you... those are the facts... Going outside with a wet head, or without a coat does not guarentee that you will catch a cold or get the flu.

From experience when I get a cold or flu I can always remember a very recent time when I went outside with wet head or ears, or come out froma sauna into the cold air outside - and 2 days later I have the cold.

From experience, I've caught 2 colds just this season from a baby sneezing on me. I know people don't think it's possible but it is. I ran and rubbed my neck and face with alcohol trying to kill the germs.

I know that an old Armenian lady from 35 years ago tought me how to make chicken soup from scratch, and my family and I haven't had the flew,or colds for years. It is a scientific fact, that the combination of chicken skin, fat, and fresh garlic do creat a natural antibiotic effect in the body, and I stick to that. I have homemade stock in the freezer 24/7/365 ...just in case ! +6
