  • Thomas Andrews, Jr. (born February 7, 1873) was in charge of design and construction of the Titanic. He was not fired after the ship sank because he was ON the ship when it sank. His body was never recovered.
  • Thomas Andrews did, he went down with the ship and the captain also went down with the ship but the owner, Bruce Ismay, selfishly saved his life. If he had lived he would not have been fired because it was not his fault the ship hit an iceberg.
